"I've recommended Hellhound on His Trail before, so will choose another recommendation. All the Pretty Horses by Cormac McCarthy is book one of what McCarthy has titled 'the Border Trilogy.' McCarthy's style can be difficult to read at first (he doesn't use much punctuation) but the story he tells is one that is hard to put down. If you're like me and a bit hesitant diving into fiction, I think this old western story has enough action and surprises to keep you engaged."

"Book: The Idea of You by Robinne Lee was my contemporary romance gateway drug. I used to think that a book had to be complex and make me smarter to be worth my while. But TIOY opened my eyes to the paperback xanax that is a solid, well-written, smutty book. I'm not kidding, I am a better, less anxious human for discovering trashy books. Other recs for you after you devour TIOY: anything by Emily Henry, anything by Abby Jiminez, and the entire A Court of Thorns and Roses series. "

"Attachment theory, aka an emotional bond with another person, was first written about in the 1900s with a focus on the infant/caregiver relationship, today it is a trending science for adult romantic relationships. From my movie selection, you know emotional health and growth fascinate me. This book makes it fun!"

"Bari Weiss is a former NYT and WSJ journalist and does a great job interviewing really interesting people on interesting topics. One of my favorite podcasts I've ever listened to was her interview with Condoleezza Rice. It's a fascinating conversation about Rice's journey through life and how she became who she is today."
