The Best of Greensboro, North Carolina from Liddy Stewart.
Liddy has boomeranged back to Greensboro with her high school sweetheart and lives in Fisher Park. She spent most of her childhood in Greensboro, but has also called Minneapolis and Bozeman, Montana home.

Best Outdoor Hangout
Oden Brewery. Their picnic tables, food trucks, yard games, and live music make it the perfect outdoor hang for the whole fam
Cheap Eats
Bodega. The best damn sammies in town. My go-to combo is the "Three on a Tree" sandwhich and the "All In" flavor Rap Snacks. Grab a beer there and eat on their patio, or take it around the corner to Greensboro's best brewery, Little Brother Brewing.
Favorite Restaurant
Machete. Our go-to special occasion spot complete with a creative menu, sharable plates, craft cocktails, and a lively atmosphere. Be sure to make a res in advance!
Where to go for Coffee or Breakfast
Union Coffee Co. I love to walk my dog to their downtown location (bonus points for being dog friendly) on Saturday mornings to treat myself to an oat milk latte. A good spot to get some work done if you need to get out of the house.
Chez Genese. A french-inspired cafe that provides equal employment for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. I swoon over their avocado toast.
For Drinks
1618 Midtown. My favorite place to belly up and grab a fresh, craft cocktail in a cozy environment. Their smash burger and truffle fries are not to be missed if you need a bite to eat.
Activity in Town
SKYWILD @ Greensboro Science Center. A self-guided high ropes course that overlooks animals in the outdoor zoo from 45 feet in the air. We love to bring out-of-towners here for a challenging, adventurous activity in the 'boro.
Local Business or Brand
If It's Paper. Beyond their one-of-a-kind invitations, stationery and paper products, If It's Paper is my go-to for baby, engagement, housewarming, get well and just-because gifts.
Insiders Tip
The BORO. Downtown's open-container social district. If it's a nice day, you're waiting for a reservation, or have an antsy kid in a stroller, grab your beve to-go and walk the streets of Greensboro!
Honorable Mention
Rockin' Morrocan Food Truck. Run, don't walk when they're scheduled to be in Greensboro. I have yet to taste something on their menu that I wasn't blown away by, including their fall-off-the-bone lamb shank and homemade coconut caramel mousse.
